Collective Hour

A time to get to know each other, to reflect, and strategize for the future!

The WGSC invites you to our inaugural Collective Hour. We will kick off the event with some brief remarks by Dean Bonnie Thornton-Dill from the University of Maryland, an esteemed scholar and seasoned administrator who studies the intersections of race, class and gender and has spearheaded efforts to institutionalize such scholarship and programming within higher education. She will offer some insights on Best Practices and Lessons Learned in the field of Women and Gender Studies. We will then split into break-out rooms for meet-and-greet and brainstorming around actionable next steps to move Women, Gender and Sexualities Studies forward at Howard.

So kick your shoes off, bring a beverage of your choice, and join the lively conversation and fellowship with colleagues and peers.
