2023 Fall Calendar of Events
Parenting at HU Event

The Center for Women, Gender, and Global Leadership invites you to join us as Mothers of the Mecca hold their first Parent Chat Series of the semester! These sessions are dedicated to providing a safe space for parents to chat openly about mental health and wellness as the semester progresses. As we carefully navigate vulnerable conversations, we hope to foster a more tight-knit community that often leans on each other for support. We invite you to discuss open communication and growth while parenting.

The Premier WOC Incubator Program is at Howard University!

The WBENC Women of Color Incubator is a premier program designed for Black female student entrepreneurs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This incubator provides the next generation of Black women entrepreneurs with the resources, community and support they need to strengthen their idea and grow their early-stage ventures.

Students accepted into the incubator will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with subject matter experts from some of the most successful women-owned businesses and Fortune 500 companies. The incubator kicks off with a virtual keynote from successful entrepreneurs and business leaders from Fortune 500 Companies and culminates with a pitch competition awarding winners with up to $25,000 in seed funding.

Upon program completion, graduates will continue their engagement with WBENC via programs such as NextGen, the Collegiate Accelerator Program and continued participation in the Women of Color Program.

Apply by Sunday, September 3rd at 11:59 PM EST, for the WBENC Women of Color Incubator at Howard University.
