The Friday Writing Room (FWR) is a structured writing community for mid-career women faculty at Howard University, designed to support protected writing time, consistency, and community.

Participants meet weekly for uninterrupted writing and join two in-person seminars during the semester.

Our second annual #HeForShe Town Hall emphasized the role of men in promoting gender equality and challenging patriarchy. The event provided an opportunity for students and faculty to engage in meaningful conversation and featured panelists who discussed the responsibility of individuals in positions of power and the importance of recognizing the hegemonic position of men on campus.
