The Advisory Board works to provide advice and support for the director on critical matters of the CWGGL policy and programs.

The Advisory Board is expected to promote gender equity and success at Howard University through strategic alliances, research, and awareness about the CWGGL’s programs and initiatives. While serving as ambassadors for the Center, Board members provide guidance in shaping programs, initiatives and partnerships that will promote the development of the Center intellectually and institutionally. Moreover, they evaluate the program goals annually, provide feedback and technical expertise and assist the director and staff in determining important activities that meet the needs of students, faculty, and other stakeholders. The Advisory Board brings together distinguished gender experts from academia, think tanks, and international organizations. It may include entrepreneurs, public servants and cultural figures that are highly qualified to provide input and recommendations in an advisory manner to carry out the mission of the Center for Women, Gender, and Global Leadership.
